Maritime Cybersecurity, and Maritime Domain Awareness

About our Maritime Cybersecurity and Maritime Domain Awareness Event:

On June 25th at the Port of San Diego, TMA BlueTech and the San Diego Cyber Center of Excellence (CCOE) will converge to explore the critical intersection of cybersecurity and maritime defense and security, in pursuit of our broader mission to make the San Diego region a global hub of knowledge and advanced technologies for the maritime sector.

Both TMA BlueTech and CCOE have a mission to catalyze the transformation of the San Diego region into a global hub of knowledge and innovation in maritime cybersecurity and maritime technologies. Our shared vision is a future where San Diego is recognized as a leading center for cutting-edge research, development, and deployment of technologies that safeguard our maritime infrastructure and propel the advancement of maritime operations worldwide.

CCOE Discussion: Overview and Topics

Overview

U.S. ports and the maritime industry are top global targets for cyberattacks. Half of these attacks are aimed at small businesses with the global average cost of a data breach reaching an all-time high of $4.45 million according to IBM. To combat these threats, federal agencies work together to mitigate the risks and protect this critical infrastructure and economic driver.

Please join us for an executive-level briefing on cybersecurity, specifically tailored to San Diego’s maritime industry and Port tenants with cyber leaders from the FBI, NAVWAR, U.S. Coast Guard, Port of San Diego and more.

Topics

-       Domain threats that might impact your business and resources available to help protect against those threats.

-       Counterintelligence threats including specific areas currently targeted by nation states and details regarding their resources, methods  and tactics.

-       Insights from industry operators about best  practices and mitigation strategies from the trenches.

TMA Discussion: Overview and Topics

Overview

With the increasing prevalence of bad actors in the ocean space, maritime domain awareness in ports, harbors and waterways has become a crucial issue. And with these bad actors often hiding in plain sight, the rapid advancement of maritime domain awareness and autonomous vessels technologies is imperative.

General Assembly: Intel Gathering from Defense Agencies (10:30-12:00 PM PT)

This is an exclusive intel gathering session that will feature representatives from defense agencies around the US. General assembly participants will gain invaluable insights into the critical maritime defense-related needs in an age of evolving threats. Participants will also get to explore the latest advancements in maritime domain awareness and autonomy as we tackle the challenges of securing our ports, harbors, and waterways.

Topics

-       What are the threats at the intrusion lines?

-       What are the capabilities of sensors around ports, harbors, and waterways to sense intrusions?

-       What are the capabilities of autonomous vehicles to monitor and/or intercept threats?

-       Are individual ports, harbors, and waterways case-hardened?

-       Can monitoring take place on a timely basis?

TMA Members-only: Shaping the Future of Maritime Defense (12:30-2:00 PM PT)

Exclusively for TMA BlueTech members, this closed-door session offers a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the insights gained during the General Assembly, allow for TMA members to collectively map out approaches and partnership potentials to address these needs, and open commercial opportunities that were unseen before this event. This will be a hybrid event.

H1 What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

H2 Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

H3 How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

H4 How to customize formatting for each rich text
