We are excited to welcome Chris Kontoes, Sales Director at Del Mar Oceanographic, as our main presenter. Chris will introduce the groundbreaking wave powered Wirewalker system and discuss how it is transforming ocean observing. He will share why the Wirewalker was developed, the scientific and operational problems it solves, and the unique advantages of wave powered profiling in a world that urgently needs scalable and persistent ocean data.
With applications across research, national security, climate monitoring, fisheries, and commercial operations, the Wirewalker is changing what is possible in ocean measurement. Chris will also offer a look at what is coming next for Del Mar Oceanographic as they continue to expand the frontier of ocean sensing and autonomous observation.
