TMA BlueTech’s June 2026 Norway Trade Mission is a focused market entry and capability building engagement delivered in direct collaboration with TMA’s cluster partner, the Ocean Autonomy Cluster (OAC) in Trondheim.

This mission is designed to connect select US companies with Norway’s world leading ocean autonomy and advanced maritime technology ecosystem through trusted, on the ground partnerships. The Ocean Autonomy Cluster serves as the organizing host and gateway, providing direct access to its network of industry leaders, applied research institutions, test facilities, and public sector stakeholders.

Anchored in Trondheim and the Trøndelag region, the mission introduces participants to a highly integrated environment for autonomy, remote operations, ocean sensing, and intelligent maritime systems. The Trondheim Fjord is globally recognized as a real world testbed where emerging ocean technologies are validated in operational conditions, supported by close coordination between industry, academia, and government.

Over the course of the program, TMA and OAC will jointly convene US and Norwegian technology leaders, operators, and researchers to accelerate partnership formation, support transatlantic market entry, and establish durable collaboration pathways across the ocean technology value chain. Participants will engage directly with Norwegian companies and institutions that are actively deploying and scaling autonomous and data driven maritime capabilities.

The mission concludes with a facilitated retreat to Stokkøya, designed to enable deeper dialogue, targeted one on one meetings, and strategic discussions in a setting that supports trust building and long term alignment. This balance of structured engagement and relationship driven interaction is intentional and central to the mission’s value.

This trade mission reflects TMA BlueTech’s broader strategy to operate from San Diego as an organizing nexus while activating aligned international regions through trusted cluster to cluster partnerships. The collaboration with the Ocean Autonomy Cluster ensures relevance, access, and execution credibility from the outset.

Participation is limited and curated to ensure meaningful engagement and measurable outcomes.

Testimonials

“TMA and ITA exceeded my expectations. We had a packed schedule meeting with companies and organizations before, at and after the Ocean Business trade show. You would be hard pressed to find a way to open as many doors in such a short amount of time.”

- Mark Gundersen, President and CEO, Marine Advanced Robotics

“As a young, small business, the programs offered by the USMTEI, TMA and ITA provided us with an invaluable opportunity to reach new companies and customers. We highly recommend this program”

- Rusty Jehangir, Founder, Blue Robotics

“Participation in the Sea Japan Trade mission was an excellent opportunity for Synthetik to explore new opportunities in a market that we have had limited prior exposure to. In particular, the GKS meetings that were held both at the Sea Japan show and afterward were extremely valuable in identifying potential partners with needs that align with Synthetik's capabilities. We are extremely grateful to the TMA Bluetech and US Commercial Services teams that facilitated an exceptionally well organized and streamlined event, given the complex logistics of participating in an international trade show. We look forward to continuing to grow the relationships we made in Japan, and being a part of more events in the future.”

- Josh Hatfield, Chief Product Officer, Synthetik Applied Technologies

"This mission was worthwhile for our company largely because of the tailored experiences set up by TMA Blue Tech and their affiliates. They made the Sea Japan Conference, as well as the rest of the trip to Japan, a very straightforward process. We would not have been able to participate in such an opportunity without their assistance."

- Shea Olson, Business Strategy and Government Funds Manager, SafetySpect

“RCAM Technologies' participation in TMA BlueTech's Sea Japan 2024 trade mission was immensely beneficial for our company. It provided us with invaluable exposure to international markets and opened up numerous opportunities for networking and strategic partnerships. The organization of the event was impeccable, allowing us to effectively showcase our products and connect with key stakeholders in our industry. This experience has deepened our market understanding and positively influenced our strategic planning. We are grateful for the chance to be part of such a well-executed mission and are optimistic about the results it will yield for our future growth. We look forward to attending future trade missions to other countries with TMA BlueTech if the opportunity arises.”

- Mason Bell, Product Manager, RCAM Technologies
