CHEERS OCEANEERS! October 8, 2025 - Featuring: Tim Perry, Clear Blue Sea

Join us for the monthly meeting of the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society (OES) – San Diego Chapter, held in partnership with TMA BlueTech and the Marine Technology Society (MTS).

This month, we’re excited to welcome Tim Perry, Executive Director of Clear Blue Sea, a San Diego–based nonprofit developing innovative robotic solutions to remove plastics from our oceans. Tim will share the organization’s inspiring journey—from concept to on-water deployments—and how technology, collaboration, and community engagement are helping tackle one of the most urgent challenges of our time: marine plastic pollution.

Please join us for the main presentation, followed by ample time for networking and engaging in friendly conversations about ocean science, engineering, BlueTech, and sustainability. You don’t need to be a member of IEEE, OES, TMA, or MTS—everyone is welcome!
