Join us for the June monthly meeting of the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society (OES) – San Diego Chapter, held in partnership with TMA BlueTech and the Marine Technology Society (MTS).
This month, we’re excited to welcome Vanessa Scott, Director of the StartBlue Ocean Enterprise Accelerator at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and UC San Diego. Vanessa also serves as Director of Corporate Affiliates, Business Development, Industry Outreach & Innovation at Scripps, and brings a wealth of insight into ocean-focused entrepreneurship, applied science, and market translation.
Vanessa will share updates on the StartBlue Accelerator, which supports early-stage companies addressing ocean challenges through science- and engineering-based innovation. StartBlue’s unique program connects entrepreneurs with research institutions, industry partners, investors, and government leaders to build commercially viable solutions for a more resilient ocean future.
