Overview
At BlueTech Week 2022,TMA BlueTech combined forces with our Norwegian sister cluster organization, GCE Ocean Technology, as well the Norwegian Consulate in San Francisco, and several Norwegian companies, to highlight Norway’s activities in the maritime and offshore renewables markets. Since Norway is one of the most active and forward-thinking countries in the world where sustainable maritime technology and offshore renewable energy is concerned, we were thrilled to have such in-depth Norwegian involvement at our seminal annual conference.
For 2023’s activities, we will build upon last year’s successes by hosting three events in 2023 that will focus specifically on how global Norwegian companies are planning to leverage their scale and expertise to build out the offshore wind sector in California. These events will:
● Allow for global Norwegian companies to talk about their plans for building out their offshore wind assets in California.
● Identify solutions that policy makers can implement to allow for sustainable blue growth;
● Clearly outline their pain points as they plan their activities, and where partner possibilities are present.
● Provide a space where potential partners are better able to understand the needs of global Norwegian companies
● Outline where commercial/partnering opportunities are present).
This event is perfect for companies looking to position themselves as potential collaborators with Norwegian companies as they prepare for building out their assets in the California offshore wind space.
The first two events will take place virtually, with the third being in-person at BlueTech Week inNovember. The two virtual events will serve as a primer for a more in-depth discussion that will take place in person at the 15th annual BlueTech Week in San Diego.
