In this rapidly changing world, TMA BlueTech would like to extend a hand to our partners, members and the BlueTech community at large for contributing to the resource list for supporting businesses dealing with the effects of our current world crisis. Below, we offer some programs that may be beneficial. Every business is different, before you implement any business practices, please make sure to contact your HR representative, or legal professional for information specific to your business.
The U.S. Small Business Administration has announced a multi-billion dollar program to help small businesses deal with the current crisis. Find out general SBA information here and about the disaster relief program here. The SBA disaster assistance customer service center can be reached at 1-800-659-2955 or e-mailed disastercustomerservice@sba.gov. The local San Diego SBA can be reached at 619- 557-7250 or visit their website.
Interested businesses are encouraged to apply sooner rather than later as applications will be processed on a first-come-first-serve basis. SBA’s Office of Disaster Assistance is ramping up to meet demand.
The U.S Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) has announced measures to focus on products that specifically diagnose, treat and prevent the spread of COVID-19. The Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority will be taking proposals for the development of these products. If your company has the capacity and flexibility to support efforts to diagnose, treat and prevent further spread, this may be an encouraging opportunity. You may learn more here.
EXIM has set up a number of programs in response to COVID-19. For more information on each of the programs, see each of the EXIM fact sheets.
As the world is changing, so is TMA. We are working to use this time of virtual meetings to connect our members to our network of 21,000+ contacts.
